After completing the 89 Batmobile ( 89 Batman is still my favorite Batman movie ) last Christmas I said to my girlfriend "if they make a Batwing I'm buying it" Almost a year later and here we have the Batwing, which she bought as an early birthday gift for me. Absolutely love it. The build was easy and very fast for me. The cockpit has some easter eggs and the overall presentation is much grander in person than any picture could give it credit for. It also pairs beautifully with the Batmobile. Love the exclusive mime Joker and Lawerance the henchman. I only have 1 complaint..missing a vital part. This is why I haven't posted any pictures of it. on display with the Batmobile currently it's just sitting tight ( see photos ). The part, which lego is sending me, was a white rubber o-ring which attached the outside wing edge to the main body. It was also missing a 1x1 flat dark grey square needed for the cockpit. Luckily I had plenty of spare parts to replace this common part. This is also why it's 4 and not 5 stars. Mistakes happen, but still, missing 2 parts on a $200 kit is not a good thing to see. Regardless I would highly recommend this kit

TO THE BATWING!!

I'll make this simple. Build: Very good, well detailed, and stands out great. Displayability: Not often you have three ways to display it, on the stand, off the stand, and mounted on the wall, and all work well. Stand: Works well, but I wish we could've been able to change the angle. Otherwise, the only way to change the display angle to lift the entire thing off the stand and turn it. Minifigures: All are well detailed and done well, but it feels like the selection is a bit weak. Value: Pretty good. It's lighter and has less pieces than the Batmobile, but the wing span makes it feel larger and more worth the money. Overall, a very good set, and it's one I recommend if you can get it.

Great Throwback

Love this Batwing from the Original Batman Movie. The detail is outstanding. I only wish it gave a bit more detail on wall mounting or if they had a video tutorial of best way. I fear it falling off the wall once up.

This was a fun and semi challenging build. I had bought the Batmobile for a friend and didn’t wasn’t to miss this one for myself. I had a vision to mount it in front of a moon decal on the wall to recreate that scene in the movie. The moon also glows in the dark but not bright enough for a good picture. I couldn’t have been more happy with this purchase.

Why didn't somebody tell me he had one of those... things?
This was my first huge build. I’ve done others, less than 1000 pieces, so I felt I was ready for the challenge. I am a huge Batman fan so I was super excited to start this build, and enjoy it by taking multiple days to complete it. I truly enjoyed every minute.
I did start with the stand though. I figured that way I would have a place to hold the batwing while I was continuing the build.
I was concerned when I had to build the wing edges because they included rubber bands. But it worked out perfectly.
The only thing I don’t enjoy is putting the stickers on. I am always worried I will put them on crooked and the whole piece will bug me if I can see that it is tilted in anyway.
The only real issue that I had was that the set was missing a 1x2 black grille. But I contacted Lego and they quickly sent me a replacement part. So besides the build being awesome, Lego customer support is what will keep me coming back for more, and more, and more Lego models in the future.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great set and fits 4 inch action figures

Excellent set! My only issue with the batmobile and batwing sets is the minifigures are too small to fit without sliding off in the seats and their scale is just way too small relative to the models. I have remedied this with 4 inch action figures from spin master. The fit in the batwing is especially good without any wobble.

I'd seen this on the wall at the LEGO store near me and that sold me on it. The build was not very challenging but did use some very cool building techniques. I would suggest the ability to support the label and figs while hanging on the wall as well, because it adds a lot to the look of it. I did exactly that haha.
