Fantastic!!

I got this set because I’m a Middle Ages enthusiast. I had never done a set this big before, so I was pleased to find the directions adequate for even an ‘inexperienced’ builder. It’s got lots of fun little details that make it playable and a nice display piece. My main recommendation would be to build on a base plate, the base was flimsy and kept splitting. Everything else is quite sturdy, if I’d known I’d have invested in a big enough base for it to sit on. My other observation is the black vs navy roof tiles are hard to tell apart,.. I still don’t know if I wound up with the intended pattern. Overall it was very fun and looks great displayed!! I loved all the extra bits of armor and such they were fun touches as is the archer mini fig. Great value for the money and time consuming with built in breaks it would be easy to divide up and each builder work on a floor , which is fun.

Nostalgia at its finest

I grew up loving the Medieval era, Knights, wolves, and I can recall having a few LEGO sets when I was growing up. So, when I saw this in my local LEGO Store, I had to get it.
This build is nostalgia at its finest. There are so many mini details spread throughout the build that force you to step back and look at what was just built. The way that this build is broken up into 3 sections makes for a very easy and fluid build.
There are a few things I would change such as make the base a bit larger, more tiles on the roof to smooth out the decor, and I think the tree could be a bit better, but overall I loved working through this set. Highly recommended.

So much fun, exactly what I was hoping for

The medieval blacksmith was an absolute blast to build. I was a Lego Castle guy back when I was smaller and this really hit all of the nostalgia buttons (but I will note if you were used to playing with your Legos on the floor as a kid, the back cramps differently after 30 years, so you've been warned: use a table). In addition to looking great etc., there were techniques that were new to me (some like what you'd see on Lego Masters) that were great to learn too. There were some fun surprises to discover and it is very cool how easily the different floors come apart.
I strongly recommend this set, and would love to see more like it come out.

A Must Have!

This set is stunning! The colors are vibrant and gorgeous and really lend well to the fantasy-medieval style. There are so many details packed into this build on every floor which makes it really feel like a home that these Minifigures could live in!
This set is a must-have for any Castle lovers out there, or for any Lego lovers in general! Here’s hoping we see more medieval themed buildings to go along with this one!

The Medieval Blacksmith was fun to build and felt nostalgic and well paced. I appreciate the modern look of LEGOs, but this has plenty of exposed studs to make it feel like a classic build. There's a lot to see inside the finished set and has been fun to play with. Great display piece!

Worth the money!

This was my first "grown up" lego purchase and I was not disappointed. It's the perfect size, super detailed, gave me hours of enjoyment (took about 30 minutes per bag), and looks amazing on my bookshelf. It makes me happy every time I walk by it. None of the other sets caught my eye like this one did.

Best set I've seen

Great build with levels of detail I have not seen before in a lego set. Hats off to the fan designer and the designers at LEGO! The 3 floors disconnect fairly easily and use their space to the maximum. Nothing is wasted in this build in my opinion. I 100% recommend it.
I only have one criticism of this set and it's about the roof. The roof has 2 side panels that are supposed to slide off, but the side with the chimney and window in the middle makes it really hard to remove the roof panel without also taking off the chimney and window with it. So I just only remove the other panel when I want to see inside...
