Love it though with a wrong piece

I played World of Warcraft a lot years ago and this style is just the same to Goldshire and other human villages in WOW. So I bought it without hesitation becuase I enjoy WOW as well as Lego.
Generally speaking I love this set, and hope Lego could do more styles like this. I love the color and also the design, also appriciates how lego modified based on the fan's idea, I know some people don't like it but it works for me perfectly.
However I still got some bad experience about this set:
1. The overall building experience is lots of fun but a little bit unclear for the step 113 becuase the direction of one brick is not shown in the instruction , though I made is correctly.
2. it's also not funny to build some tiles on the corner because it's not stable and I have to adjust the position to make it looks perferct.
3. First time missed a piece! I got only one element 6261744 when building the horse, assuming it's a mistake because I got element 421151 instead.

One of the best of any sets

This set was a day 1 purchase for me. Being a fan of Lego since the late 80’s, I’ve had plenty of castle sets growing up. This set purchase was a no-brainer. The design is excellent. It is a great display piece that also offers a good amount of play value. The extra knight minifigs were a great addition. The look of the blacksmith shop is a big step up from the last one Lego released and that is a great set itself. The price per piece for this set is also a decent value. My only negative comment would be that the tree design, while very cool, could use some filling in. I think the idea was good but it doesn’t have enough branches or leaves. This can be remedied by building onto it yourself. Overall this is one of my favorite sets and I hope Lego considers more castle themed sets for future release. A must buy!

Romancing the Medieval Period

I really didn't think I was going to like this set as much as my other LEGO sets, but I was wrong. It wasn't a challenging build, but it was fun to build as you seen it come almost to live. The only negative thing I could say about the Blacksmith set is the tree. To put it simply, I think it could had been done better, but I guess LEGO felt that they wanted to give an overall medieval feel to the set. I would imagine this set would bring a lot of play-ability to children as even I had a little fun with it and I'm 56 years old.
I would recommend this to a friend!

As good as a set can get...

I'm usually not one to be subject to recency bias, and I have purchased many large sets in the year since I got into lego for the first time as an adult. I never outright said any set was my favorite ever, but the Modular buildings, the UCS Slave I and the UCS Sandcrawler all could have been had I actually thought about a "best set".
This is the first time I finished a set and thought "This may be my favorite set ever". It's on the smaller side of what I usually go for, so it doesn't have grandeur to muddle my opinion, nor does it recreate something iconic from a property I love...but after having this for two weeks, I can say it is likely my favorite I've ever built.
The finished product is probably the prettiest lego set I've seen by a fair margin, the build experience was exceptional and everything felt perfect, deliberate and unique. The tree was a little tedious, but it ends up looking great. The roof surprisingly isn't an exercise in tedium despite how it looks, and it is build and attached in a very unique manner that gives the set a look unlike any other. The interior is exceptional; it just feels home-y. Nothing feels tertiary or like it was added for pc count. This is one of the all around best sets I have ever had.
Only four figures in such a set may seem skimp to some. The quality of the figures more than compensates for the lighter quantity. Three of them are amazing (Two knights and blacksmith) and it'd have been fine for them to just stop there, but they also added a perfectly competent fourth figure (The blacksmith's female relation).
All together, this is one of the few sets I'd reccomend to anyone who enjoys lego no matter their preferences. It really is that good.

Amazing set! Extremely detailed

This set was an amazing build from the first step through the last. I love the amount of detail this set has. I love the mid evil era and really hope that with the success of this set that lego decides to bring back more knights and castle related themed sets!

Simply Exceptional

As Jeremy Clarkson described of the Bugatti Chiron, “Judged to perfection”. From the exterior details like the double-angled roof with a simple overlapping tile design, to interior details like anvils with clips for holding whatever is being crafted, no expense was spared to make this set as detailed as possible. Possibly the biggest selling point for me was the architectural diversity one finds within the build; no two rooms are the same dimensions, all three levels have their own unique shape and different exterior and interior detailing; it just works so well. From the sliced carrot inside, to the extremely clever integration of a LEGO bellows to operate the light brick within the forge, the detailing is exceptional. Of course, even the small cart with knights makes a great addition to the set; I appreciate the simplistic build of the cart, seeming to convey older building techniques from LEGO still holding up today. All-in-all, one of the best LEGO designs I’ve ever built and had the pleasure to have.
