This build brought me back to my childhood with the old castle series. The detail throughout the forge is phenomenal would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun build.

Just Perfect

This set reminds me so much of the Lego castle sets I loved as a kid. It was also a highly satisfying build experience -- I was continuously impressed with not only the design ingenuity but also the level of detail in every part of the set. The only downside, if you can call it that, is that it was difficult for me to consistently tell the different shades of green apart from each other in the printed instructions. But I don't consider that a serious problem. All in all, this is a classic, brick-built Lego creation that is equally perfect as a playset or as a display piece. Building it inspired me to start designing a large Lego castle MOC that I'm now sourcing parts for. Build experience...playset ability....display piece....inspires creativity in the person building it....yeah, this is about as close to the perfect Lego set as you can get.

This is hands down the best set I’ve built, and I’ve built many. And, it looks so good when finished. It has so much detail, each level is easy to remove to reveal the detail in the level beneath. The pictures do not do this set justice. Even if you’re not into modulars, this is a must have set, it was that
much fun. And, it looks so good. LEGO should do more buildings along this line.

This needs to become a system

I love the Castle system from back in my childhood. Additionally I love knights, fantasy (ie. hobbit/lotr), dragons and castles. When I saw this was coming out, I pre-ordered without hesitation. Now that I have it built and can see the level of detail comparable to the Castle system from the 80s and even the more recent one in 2010s, I wish more like the Blacksmith shop would come out. Something similar to the module city shops and stores. I would spare no expense to collect any of the midieval sets that would expand upon what the blacksmith shop started.

My Favorite Set

This is a wonderful build. It really fits well with my other castle sets while also updating the complexity and build techniques for the more experienced builder. I cannot recommend this enough for anybody interested in castle, and it might also be worth it for somebody generally interested in a nice detailed build. Engaging build, beautiful display piece, and conducive to play.

Great value, incredible detail

This set is just great. It looks so beautiful once completed. The architecture is lovely, as is the interior. The tree looks great as well. The minifigs are very nice as well. I love the return of the Falcons. The older knight is my personal favorite. Overall buy this set if you have the chance, worth every penny.
