This set is amazing. I absolutely love it. The details great. I can't stop praising this this set. Please, please, please make more of these. A set of modular medieval village buildings would be amazing.

This needs to become a system

I love the Castle system from back in my childhood. Additionally I love knights, fantasy (ie. hobbit/lotr), dragons and castles. When I saw this was coming out, I pre-ordered without hesitation. Now that I have it built and can see the level of detail comparable to the Castle system from the 80s and even the more recent one in 2010s, I wish more like the Blacksmith shop would come out. Something similar to the module city shops and stores. I would spare no expense to collect any of the midieval sets that would expand upon what the blacksmith shop started.

My Favorite Set

This is a wonderful build. It really fits well with my other castle sets while also updating the complexity and build techniques for the more experienced builder. I cannot recommend this enough for anybody interested in castle, and it might also be worth it for somebody generally interested in a nice detailed build. Engaging build, beautiful display piece, and conducive to play.

Best use of light brick ever seen in LEGO set

Beautiful artwork. It's gorgeous and as always, looks much better in real life that in the picture. I love the fact it's a full-size house and not just half of it, looking amazing at every angle. Interiors are sweet, exterior is full of cozy details, top notch quality from LEGO that is worth every penny.

Just Perfect

This set reminds me so much of the Lego castle sets I loved as a kid. It was also a highly satisfying build experience -- I was continuously impressed with not only the design ingenuity but also the level of detail in every part of the set. The only downside, if you can call it that, is that it was difficult for me to consistently tell the different shades of green apart from each other in the printed instructions. But I don't consider that a serious problem. All in all, this is a classic, brick-built Lego creation that is equally perfect as a playset or as a display piece. Building it inspired me to start designing a large Lego castle MOC that I'm now sourcing parts for. Build experience...playset ability....display piece....inspires creativity in the person building it....yeah, this is about as close to the perfect Lego set as you can get.

This build brought me back to my childhood with the old castle series. The detail throughout the forge is phenomenal would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun build.

Good play value, but some issues

The set overall is great, plenty of little details, and a lot of play possibilities. However, I have had multiple brown pieces simply shatter on me during building. I was not forcing them or stressing them in any way. Only happened to that one color.

Finally! A medieval set! We need more, Lego! In my 15 plus years of lego building this is the best design I have ever put together. Amazing detail!
