This Set Harkens Back to the Best Days of LEGO

It has been a number of years since I've last cracked open a large LEGO set, but I was eager to grab this fantastic new offering.
I thoroughly enjoyed taking my time to put the set together and was impressed by how many creative approaches the designer took along the way. The unique brick colors and pieces were a joy to assemble; the temptation to "poach" pieces from this set for some other creations is severe.
Overall, this set is a great value and lot of fun. I truly hope to see some similar (and possibly even matching) sets in the future.

Absolutely beautiful, but that tree though.

This is by far my favorite set I've gotten since the end of my Lego hiatus. The figures are great and I love the medieval theme, and the build was overall great. The tree though, was my least favorite part. It was the one and only thing I didn't like besides a small nitpick with the roof. The tree could have been done better and I expected this coming into the set.
I would recommend this to a friend!

As Jeremy Clarkson described of the Bugatti Chiron, “Judged to perfection”. From the exterior details like the double-angled roof with a simple overlapping tile design, to interior details like anvils with clips for holding whatever is being crafted, no expense was spared to make this set as detailed as possible. Possibly the biggest selling point for me was the architectural diversity one finds within the build; no two rooms are the same dimensions, all three levels have their own unique shape and different exterior and interior detailing; it just works so well. From the sliced carrot inside, to the extremely clever integration of a LEGO bellows to operate the light brick within the forge, the detailing is exceptional. Of course, even the small cart with knights makes a great addition to the set; I appreciate the simplistic build of the cart, seeming to convey older building techniques from LEGO still holding up today. All-in-all, one of the best LEGO designs I’ve ever built and had the pleasure to have.

Great Product!

My wife and I had a blast putting this together. It singlehandedly re-kindled my interest in Lego after years on the sidelines.
I really hope Lego takes note of the success of this set and does more non-licensed Medieval/Castle style sets.

What a fun build!

I've been craving a new build for a while and when I saw this one I ordered on the first day. It's probably the most colorful set I have and as I built it the little surprises and details were such a delight. There is very little repetition in this set but there are lot of tiny pieces to assemble which always leaves my finger tips a little sore. Be sure to follow the diagrams carefully. I thought I had and still got tripped up a couple times where things wouldn't fit together right (awning, I'm looking at you!).
I'd like to see more in this series but I'm not sure where I'll display them!

Amazing set

This is overall a great Lego set. I had a great time building it. The one problem that I had while building this set was the tree. It took me a very long time to build the tree. However, I can not deny that it looks fantastic.
