Sets the bar for Medieval Lego

My biggest complaint about this product is that it is so good that the Lion Knight's Castle pales in comparison. Please give us a medieval line with this level of detail.

Love it though with a wrong piece

I played World of Warcraft a lot years ago and this style is just the same to Goldshire and other human villages in WOW. So I bought it without hesitation becuase I enjoy WOW as well as Lego.
Generally speaking I love this set, and hope Lego could do more styles like this. I love the color and also the design, also appriciates how lego modified based on the fan's idea, I know some people don't like it but it works for me perfectly.
However I still got some bad experience about this set:
1. The overall building experience is lots of fun but a little bit unclear for the step 113 becuase the direction of one brick is not shown in the instruction , though I made is correctly.
2. it's also not funny to build some tiles on the corner because it's not stable and I have to adjust the position to make it looks perferct.
3. First time missed a piece! I got only one element 6261744 when building the horse, assuming it's a mistake because I got element 421151 instead.

My new FAVORITE Lego Set!!

If you're thinking about buying this set, (and have some building experience under your belt) DO IT. I've been playing and building with Lego since childhood and I don't think I've had this much fun since my very first set!! This build is packed with details, accessories, and story, and is just a beautiful piece in general. You can tell that the forge was designed by someone with a passion for blacksmithing and is extremely charming.
Personally I gravitate towards architecturally focused builds and was pleasantly surprised that the finished product turned out bigger than I was expecting! All told this took me about three days to build, and I loved every step, the instructions are great as usual but are geared more toward the experienced builder (note the suggested 18+, but teens in general would have no problem with it). It's a great size for play, and I may use this as a set for future tabletop games.
I almost never write reviews for products, but this set takes the Lego cake. I would highly recommend this set for any true Lego fan!!!

Interesting Build

I added this to my collection and it is a more difficult build. But I do not have a lot of experience with buildings and being a blacksmith was the interest. Overall I would give it 4 out of 5. The two areas that I did not like with this build was the tree and instructions. The tree was very fragile, and bump and it fell apart. I took it apart and reread instructions and it was the same result. The instructions were clear up to the roof. The colors were hard to figure out which shade of blue.
It looks great, but if you had a child wanting to play with it, it's not that type of set, and carefully showing off to people, the tree is not coming back. Blacksmith cut it down lol.
I do not have it on display, but that it is it did not fit into my other themes and it will be going to my mother's house she loves the look.
The fire light is a great add with the build everyone loves it. Several people I have shown it to, have bought it.
The details are amazing, it just doesn't fit with cars, space and star wars. Can't drive a Lamborghini to the blacksmith, he doesn't have the right tools.

Wonderfully crafted

Fantastic build from start to finish.
While themed Castle we plan on making some modifications so that this building can be added to our Pirate Island. My only complaint: Would be nice to see a new unfinished sword. Silver with red, no hilt. And additional tools authentic to metal working. A++ as is.

This was my first Lego set in a few years. When I first saw this, I knew it would be the next Lego purchase. Medieval architecture is my favorite architecture design/style ever. I crave MORE medieval Lego sets. The building experience is superb, and has no technic. The on;y repetitive part is the tree, and this is for obvious reasons. The end result is a gorgeous mixture of color and design. The interior is amazing, especially the bottom blacksmith floor. I highly suggest this for literally everyone.

Great build with some frustrating flaws.

I had a great time with this set. It was engaging and I learned a lot from it, but it has one major flaw that baffles me how it made it into the build. The rear window's roof is set up in a way that makes it impossible to fit the wall paneling under the articulation plate and fit the roof pieces under the main roof frame. I don't understand how you did this or how it made it past quality control. Otherwise, a great set.

This set goes well with my Hogsmead village and I am planning to add snow to make it Christmasy. Unfortunately this is my first Lego set where I have had quite a few missing parts. Bag 13 was the worst with several missions parts and many of the roof tiles being the wrong color.
