I was finally hoping for a beard balm smelling similar to the Milwaukee line of soap that DC has. Lesson learned Cedarwood and Sandalwood do not smell at all alike. I can't get enough of the Milwaukee scent. Very smooth and refreshing. the Budweiser scent is just not as enjoyable.

I have tried several balms through the years and have stopped looking further, Duke Cannon beard balm checks all the boxes, where the others always lacked in some way. The hold is good, the melting point is perfect and the scent is amazing. My wife always takes a sniff when I kiss her before heading out each day to be a productive American.

This has kind of a campfirey smell to it, which is cool if you’re totally into fire or camping or both. But usually after a campfire, I try to NOT smell like a campfire, which is why I take a shower and wash my clothes. I was hoping it smelt like the beer soap because it’s made with Bud, but I didn’t realize the tin says Cedarwood on it. Just make one that smells like the beer soap, dudes. There’s a lot of incongruous smells going on—my feet smell like menthol, my hair smells field mint, my pits smell like pepper and my beard smells like a campfire. Also, the round tins are better than the rectangular ones. The rectangular ones remind me of a Sucrets tin and that makes me think about having a lot of sore throats as a youngster. Stay clean.
