Great smell but separates

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This beard oil smells great (unanimous opinion) but my first bottle separated into a very thick layer & a very thin, watery layer. I couldn’t get them to recombine. The smell is good enough that I’m trying a second bottle.

More of a styling product

The oak barrel scent is truly fantastic and lasts all day! However, the feel of the oil in my beard is awful. It does start off very nice with a hydrating and nourishing feel. But, after an hour or so my beard starts to get a "crispy" feeling - something akin to light hold hair gel. This only get worse as the day goes on. After about four hours with Duke Cannon oils, my beard has a full on crunchy, straw like feeling.
I honestly believe that this beard oil would be a superior product if the ingredient that causes this issue is omitted from the recipe.
