This has a great hold that last all day. I bought this for my 11 yr old son to spike up his fauxhawk and it last through his day of school and soccer practice. Now my husband has been using it style his hair. On the plus side it smells great.

Great Hair Product!

I was skeptical, but not anymore. Before I get into details, I first want to say I gauge how good a product is by how it tames my fly away wiry hair. DC Hurricane Hold Pomade checked that box big time right out of the gate.
Ok, my review… Super creamy and scoops like a dream, applies easy (just takes a little bit), instantly starts to thicken, provide control and texturizes your hair…like, crazy, insane texture. It sets up pretty quickly and the hold is absolutely killer and lasts allllll day. However, it is surprisingly light, touchable and reworkable with no crunchiness. It definitely has a natural finish vs. matte, but that is just fine in my book because a slight touch of shine makes your hair look healthy vs. dried out. The scent is masculine, clean, light and on the cologne type scent side of the house. The scent description of citrus, musk, cedarwood and amber is spot on. Lastly, this product washes out ridiculously easy.
Tips:
1. You don’t want to sit and break it down too long in your hands because as it dries it gets tacky. Just rub your hands together a few times and start working it into your hair while the product is semi-wet in your hands.
2. Definitely apply to towel dried hair that is almost completely dry vs. blow dried if you can. It has a lot of tack and application into dried hair is a little trickier.
2.1. The wetter your hair is when you apply Hurricane Hold the more shine your finish will have. If there is too much shine just let the product dry for 10-15mins after application and then run your hands or fingers back through your hair a couple of times and it will instantly dull the shine down.
3. Layer it in using small scoops with the 2nd and 3rd scoops (if you even need them) being smaller than the first.

This is the best pomade I've ever used. It holds my hair in place perfectly without making it too stiff or crunchy. And it smells better than any other product nice ever used, too. 10/10 would recommend.

Solid, Could Be Better

I rock a combover with thickish Italian hair and have to take a weird fitting hat on and off throughout the day. One dime blob keeps my hair predominantly in place most of the day, the best of the matte pomades I’ve tried. On weekends, without the hat, it keeps everything in place all day.
It’s pretty easy to comb through if your hair is damp but can get a little tough on dry hair. Some pomades slick your hair down but this one does give dry hair some volume. I was slightly disappointed that it doesn’t smell like the blue pomade but for me the hold is worth it and I’ll probably keep buying.
