Welcome relief

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has been so hot this summer that the freezers at our food pantry have been struggling to keep up. We purchased 2 window units to alleviate the problem. These units are doing a wonderful job cooling the 2 freezer rooms. A minor issue is the display on one remote does not display correctly, but that is no big deal.

Works well for a larger room

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve only had my Frigidaire air conditioner for a month, so far I am extremely happy with it. It cools down my open plan living room and dining room to a livable temperature, For added coolness I position a large fan pointed at the dining room (the unit is in the living room) to achieve maximum cool. I don’t know how I lived without it and I never needed it until climate change started taking its toll. Installation is easy although it requires two people, functions are self explanatory and I love Eco mode. I have a very old house so was afraid it would draw most of the electricity but so far so good. I like the open to the outside vent option although I can’t tell if it makes much of a difference. Unfortunately because I have an old house, nothing is level so I have to figure out a way to weatherstrip my doors. Aside from that, this was the best decision I have made.

I live on the top floor of an 1875 house in Philadelphia PA, and found that my 8000 btu AC unit just wasn't powerful enough to handle the extreme heat of the 90+ summer days with high humidity. I already had a 6000 btu unit in the front, north side, room - a Frigidaire - and it was relatively quiet, and cooled that room very well. But the back room of the house is a sunny exposure and twice the size. So I selected this Frigidaire unit to replace the 8000 btu unit. It has been an excellent choice! It is quieter, blows good cold air, and does absolutely everything it's designed to do, flawlessly! And even in this demanding environment, it doesn't struggle to meet the demand like the other unit did. An excellent product, and I couldn't be happier with it! I hope it lasts for years - time will tell. But for now, it's just perfect!
