What I was looking for

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit to get through the hot Pittsburgh summer. The main downsides are that it is loud and heavy (I was hoping to take it out of the window during the winter but now I'm not so sure). I do like the ability to change the fan speed, turn on economy cooling so that it isn't running all of the time, and used the timer daily so that it would turn on a half hour before I got home from work. This size easily cools down my 475 sq/ft studio apartment.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to operate and install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the 2nd one in 4 months. The first one had water build up inside that couldn't drain out and put out a terrible smell. We replaced it for fear of mold,etc. Both units don't seem to get as cold as the one we replaced them with when set on same temperature.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, shadow5. I recommend making sure that the A/C is big enough for the space that you're trying to cool. If the room temperature is very high, the air exiting the unit may not feel cold. You may find that by lowering the temperature on your A/C may help with the cooling performance. Works well, great for running on generator
