[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this air conditioner over a month ago. Does a great job cooling the area I needed to cool. I like everything about this unit except it makes a sound like a bug zapper every couple of minutes. I read the book and it said it may make this sound when water hits the condenser. That's the only problem that I have with the unit.

Keeps big room COOL

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit a little over a month ago. Was looking for something to fit a small window, but keep my 16x16 living room cool. I live in south Texas and that alone means I need a big unit, but my house is not well insulated and the 6K btu (not Frigidaire) I had wasn't cutting it. When I purchased the unit, I installed it same day. Didn't realize that the remote control was missing. Called customer support and they offered to send remote right away. It arrived the NEXT day. Remote temp sensor works pretty gd. Room feels very comfortable and turns off automatic. This unit is slightly louder than the 6K unit but it cools significantly better. I have 21-1/2 inch windows and this unit fit perfect. I couldn't use the accordion sides, but I used the foam to seal around the unit. Most 10K units are much bigger, at least 22 inches wide. Makes it difficult for narrower windows. I was lucky it was last one in stock. With this Frigidaire 10K and my ceiling fan on, makes for a chilly living room in the evening. If this unit was quieter I would give it 5 stars, and say it was PERFECT.
