Great tool, but a bit confusing in e-file portion

All went well, I have used TurboTax for many years. But I did encounter something that reduced my rating by a star.
PROBLEM: This is the first year I've e-filed. All past returns were paper. The prior year AGI verification is confusing. It asks for the taxpayer AGI, then it asks for the joint filing spouse's AGI. On a joint return there is only one AGI. It's not clear if the spouse's should be the same amount as the taxpayer, or zero. (I hope I was correct in entering the full amount twice). Also, the linked web "help find your AGI" page does not address 1040-SR.

Thorough Tax Preparation

I've used Turbotax for over 15 years and have never had a problem with my taxes. The program asks step by step questions to gather the precise information needed for filing my federal and state return. It also gives you the option to skip certain areas if you are sure that they don't pertain to you. I don't look forward to paying taxes, but Turbotax eases the burden of filing.

Problems with turbotax 2020

could not return to interview questions to change answer. Called bank twice and was told that $1200 had not been received. Bank statement showed money was deposited. Fortunately, I had not filed, but could not return to interview to change answer. To follow form instructions would have been incorrect. Tried multiple times to enter credit card information to purchase defense. Finally just filed without defense. Very difficult to confirm data entered with personal information. Most trouble this year than experience from prior years.

I've used TurboTax for years. It does a good job. There are areas for improvement such as it's far more expensive than most tax software out there even though it advertises differently. There are areas in its explanations that still goes above most layman filers.
