The options for the final process for "filing" are confusing. I missed the midnight deadline because I tried to E-file the Fed and State. Because the state would not process, the Fed would not complete the filing process. From 11:45 to 1:45AM I called the customer support and continued to file my returns. The process for choosing a state also has much to desire. It inadvertently added "Vermont" as a state when I chose Virgina. It took two hours before I was able to file my Federal tax. The State still has not been completed and will mail it.

I got the most expensive version, Home & Business. I don't have a complicated tax situation, but TT kept me going in a loop when there were "foreign taxes" of less than $1 showing up in a form that was imported directly! TT also waited until AFTER I submitted the e-File to tell me I had to send in physical forms...

Tax prep is excellent; sign in sucks

No problems entering tax data for multiple business activities, and figuring out where things get entered. Sometimes revisiting a subject takes me through too many questions that I've already answered, but I get how that makes sense. However, for the past two years, on two completely different computers, signing in when I need to add a state, or to e-file is nearly impossible. Last year, I had to change the screen resolution to 800x600 to get the box to display. This year, to get each and every data entry field to show an entry, I had to change the screen resolution! This was such a pain, and other users have experienced this based on a quick internet search. Not sure why a giant software company can't get this part right, but it's mighty annoying.
