Problems with using on laptop with McAfee

I was not able to use the download on a brand new laptop with McAfee. I was very disappointed. I ended using an old laptop to get the tax return done.

There is Always Something Wrong

I know that my taxes are complicated, with rental and K-1 income. That being said, this year TurboTax failed to include my wife's K-1, even though I have used Turbotax and she has had K-1 income for the past ten years. It seems like there is something wrong with the program every year.

This year I did better but I was aware of more things I should add forms for. I wish I could understand all the legal lingo better but that is my problem.

I couldn't live without TurboTax

I have used TurboTax for my personal and business as a Realtor/Independant Contractor and have had the best experience with this system/program. It guides me step by step of what I need and how to help me save money and things to remember, etc. I love having the control of knowing every step of this process. I will be using this in years to come for Federal and State.

Turbo Tax online version can't view tax forms

Turbo tax is very easy for many things but very cumbersome in many other ways. There is way too much of scrolling repeatedly through long forms. Frequently used features like a SEP-IRA contribution for self-employed individuals is almost impossible to find. Finally, and most importantly, the online version does NOT provide forms-view, which is essential to double check several things and make certain corrections. It took me and my tax accountant one-half hour to figure out how to switch from online to downloaded version and then to get the work we had entered to upload into the downloaded version. Bottom-line: Turbo Tax is great for someone with a simple tax situation. It is NOT designed well for people with a more complicated situation, and it will drive a tax accountant crazy with some of its quirks.
