I used Turbo Tax to file extensions to file for my NM taxes. I sent in a payment voucher and payment with the extension I filed. However, when I went back to file the taxes in October, Turbo Tax did not have any record of the extension filed or the money previously paid with the voucher. It never asked me if I had filed an extension. I had to go in an override the values that the program had assigned because it was showing I owed money when I actually qualified for a refund because of the money I paid with the extension.

2020 TurboTax was a mess

This is the 2nd attempt to review it since the 1st one failed. I was very unhappy with it from trying to load it to a new laptop to efiling! It was a mess. Wouldn't load to my new laptop. Wouldn't connect me to the purchase center to buy Audit Defense nor purchase my State in order to efile it. I will be shopping for a different software next year even though I have used TurboTax for at least 10 years!

As a first time user of the Home& Business I found it better to do the walk through rather than to choose my own, it was very helpful, ensuring that I get all the deductions possible.

TurboTax was extremely difficult to complete.

After getting an extension, TT would not let me complete my tax return. I had to file a tax return under a different heading. Some deductions did not show up on the pages (although I probably would not have exceeded the $26000).

It works until it doesn't

I filed a return, which I need to amend. Intuit says that I can do this through Turbo Tax, except when I open the app it doesn't match Intuit's explanation of what to do. There is no "Amend a return (make changes) after it was filed and accepted by the IRS" to select.

Doesn't include local TriMet tax forms

This has been a weakness for years. In the past, Turbo has made errors filling out the form, or would just allow you to print the form and, well, you're on your own. This year, no mention of the tax, no copies of the form. If you relied on TT for this you might just fail to file. This form is short, but a real pain. Expected this system to be complete.

TurboTax Works Great - except

I've used TurboTax for many years and really appreciate many of its features. However, there are a couple of areas I would like to see improved: 1) When I'm using the step-by-step method (this may be true of the direct approach, too) and put something in, I am always returned to the top of the listing and need to go backdown the line to get to where I was. Isn't there some way to either re-order the list so we could just step down it and/or return us to the same location on the list we were at before putting data in? 2) I have trouble seeing small print on the screen and quite often select a larger font to be able to read the screen. Isn't there some way for TurboTax to "remember" my font size selection, so I don't have to keep resetting it? Also, I noticed on several screens there is no font size selection at all and the print is very small. Why aren't all screens provided with a font size selection or at least have the initial font size selection hold for all screens with the ability to adjust?
