Harder to navigate

I find this program becoming harder and harder to navigate. Help topics don't really answer much. I'm filing in NY and this year couldn't eFile an extension, was very confused about extension forms and where to find them.

I love Turbo Tax, it is easy to use. The application walks you through the whole process step by step and provides references for additional research if necessary. I have been using the application for the past 20 plus years. Could not be happier

TurboTax Necessity

I have used TurboTax for many years (20+). My children also use it now, and have developed a reasonable expertise. Changes over the years have made it more friendly, and it helps me thru difficult situations.

OK experience, but some room to improve

Wish there were better and more answers to questions from actual tax experts within the turbotax community from tax experts, specific to Net Operating Loss carry forward and what to do with previously amortized expenses; I had the hardest time finding information on this and how to show it on the forms and the system doesn't explain this very well. Also wish the system would have users check for system updates before they get started, rather than at the end, because unknown to me some of the NOL questions sort of resolved themselves with the update, but it was still only resolved due to much research on my end and I still don't know if it was completed properly. Also would like better explaining, walking through or auto-populating of information into the CA forms. This section requires the user to enter in all their information manually in hopes we are entering information correctly, where auto-populating information that comes from the IRS 1040 form would be HIGHLY beneficial. But all in all this software was WAY better than H&R Block and I was able to get through everything and complete my taxes, so at the end of the day I was successful.

Turbo Tax 2020 made filing and getting my refund a breeze would recommend to anyone one thing I didn't like was paying 25 dollars extra for the state

Overall Great! State needs work...

Overall, TurboTax has been great. I have been a customer from way back when it was MacInTax!
The Federal Interview is awesome, but the California Interview is confusing at times. Basic instructions regarding Single Member LLCs is non-existent. I hope there is more added in the future for this specific category, as I am sure with all the new companies being formed since COVID, there will be many more people with similar needs.
