Turbo Tax is great for filing taxes!

Turbotax is Best of Breed

I have used Turbotax for more years than I can remember. It works, it does the job.
It is easy to use and understand. I would never use anything else.
I also like the fact that Intuit doesn't feel compelled to mess with the general format (like Microsoft does to purposefully confuse the faithful users.)
I have confidence they always get it right, reflecting the current state of tax law well.
I have never had a problem with the IRS for any of my returns, which are extremely complicated.
I have only two complaints:
1. Sometimes I have difficulty connecting to the website from the PC client at the end of processing all my tax information. Unfortunately, I usually wait to the last minute and I am probably contending with a lot of other users, but it seems slow and frequently fails. I have to try repeatedly to get it to connect. Last night, I could never connect to pay for the state efiling as myself, I had to login as guest. I did succeed in filing on time, but barely.
Everything about TT works smoothly except this final step. Of course, since I use the PC client everything is happening on my PC until I need the web connection at the end.
2. I usually have some errors to correct at the end. It seems the logic for creating the proper forms behind the scenes fails, and I have to go in and manually correct the electronic copies of the forms several places. My perception is that this is a coding failure; it never has to do with my making a mistake in how I respond to the questions. I think you guys could work a little harder to get rid of these errors so that as long as you answer the questions, you never get an error. I don't like having to repeat the error-catching process repeatedly either.

I found the whole experience to be thorough, a bit challenging at times, yet I have complete confidence in the software. That being said, I did purchase the 'Audit' insurance! LOL

“TurboTax is the Ticket for your Taxes”

I have used Turbo Tax since 1997 and would recommend anyone desiring to do their own taxes to do so. I have had prior years taxes reviewed by several reputable tax companies and they did not find anything wrong nor to add to it. My experience this year was even better. I purchase QuickBooks prior to the end of 2019 and used it for the entire year of 2020. I typically purchase TurboTax and download it to my computer and do my taxes. But this year I was able to transfer all info for 2020 straight from QuickBooks into TurboTax online which made things a lot easier and less stressful. I used the live chat with an accountant twice and both times, they walked me through my issues and answered my questions with ease. Turbo Tax is my go-to Tax Software, don’t do them without it!

TurboTax Is Awesome but eFile Rejected

I always use TurboTax to file my taxes and it has always been smooth sailing. This year, I ran into a problem with eFiling. Part of my choice to use TurboTax is the ability to eFile. The issue is my AGI from 2019. I entered it correctly but still keep getting a rejection. Turbo Tax even transferred the number over automatically and it is still being rejected. Why would AGI be used to identify a person versus a SSN? This is my only complaint.

Good walk-through, terrible e-file & customer serv

Good walk-through feature so you don't miss items, though some items could be explained better--not everyone is good at understanding taxes. E-file feature has not worked for me two years in a row, so taxes were not filed on time. Only on-line customer service to ask questions.
