very time consuming, paid to efile some how my prior years return info didnt match with irs records and could never get my returns accepted via e-file, had to mail returns. Theres no easy way to verify all info transferred from prior years return or easy way to edit it if you have a problem like I did. Probably try a different software next year.

Turbotax is great but not perfect

Turbotax greatly accelerates figuring and filing taxes and represents the state of the art. But it could do much better. The desktop products could seamlessly integrate with the cloud products so you could move back and forth, and between products like between quickbooks and turbotax. Its painfully obvious that different intuit development teams build their products in separated silos instead of as an integrated whole experience for obvious combinations of use cases. Its like a school student who you know could do A level work, but turns out B level homework and tests because they're just lazy or unmotivated.

Tons of problems with file corruption.

After restarting my returns 7 times (Literally just filed at 10:20pm on 5/17), I found out that if you try to import previous years, the file import will fail and if you proceed to import the PDF, you will run into an issue where after saving and exiting, you are unable to continue your return and TurboTax says that the file is corrupted.
Searching for help on this yielded nothing except others with the same issue.
It gets 1 star as I was eventually able to file...(even if I did completely skip itemized business expenses to get it done in time). :-/
