TurboTax is a great tool.

I started with Turbo Tax when we had a business. I found it extremely helpful when I had to do the Schedule C. We no longer have a business but now it saves me time on my regular taxes.

TurboTax 2020... epic disappointment

I've used TurboTax for years. This year it would not import my 2019 data (from the same computer used last year). After I paid for my second state e-filing, I received an error message saying that my file had not been saved and could not be filed electronically... this was after I'd already electronically filed my Federal forms and taxes for another state.
I found Schedule C terminology confusing/different from the previous year and since my prior year data wouldn't import I had to compare it to my PDF of last year's return to extrapolate. And no, it would not import the PDF either.
For whatever reasons, I did not find alternating between EasyStep and forms as seamless and dependable as it was in year's past. Maybe I'm dreaming of some imaginary perfect scenario, but I seem to remember being able to move back and forth from an exact location in either format, rather than having to scan through the whole forms list. Oh well...

Buried deep in the lawyerese nonsense is the new 'Doesn't work with Windows 7' declaration. So you're forced to upgrade to Windows 10. Evil.

Hoodwinked at the end!

Its annoying when you have a free state file but have to pay for the e-file cost but don't know what it is until you are ready to file - smoke and mirrors and just got hoodwinked. Ive been a customer for many years and this is just aniother way to drive me to another company.
