Turbo Tax 2020 Version Good For DIY Taxes

Very please with Turbo Tax's handling of electronically downloaded W2 data from employers and investment data from our primary financial management company. The ADP downloads made this year's taxes significantly easier while minimizing risk of manually entered data entry errors. .

Navigation Needs a Lot of Work

The basics are easy. The quality of your products has gone down over the years. You make it virtually impossible for users to retrace their steps to key questions in the tax preparation process. Your products are becoming increasingly less intuitive, Intuit! Some of the questions that are asked in the tax preparation process should be largely answered by previous years' Turbo Tax returns and, if need be, confirmation should be obtained from the user. Keeping the terminology consistent with the forms being filled out is important - lack of it causes confusion. My level of confidence in using Turbo Tax has steadily gone down in the last 5 years.

Good, but could still use improvement

Been using it for years, and have become accustomed to answering all the many questions it asks. Way too many answers are "no!" Just wonder if there's a way to cut the questions down to size somehow!
Also, when it comes to paying to file Oregon's return, several windows have their "Continue" button only barely visible behind the ribbon bar, with just BARELY a sliver of blue to click! Very frustrating! That was an issue last year for Oregon's payment application and you'd think they would have fixed it! Somebody should tell them!

Frustrating program glitch.

I wasted too much time figuring out and correcting a software glitch in the program affecting line 33, form 1040, related to a form I never used and was not using - 8689 - which also had caused other users a problem (from I what I read on the Internet). The glitch prevent e-filing, directed me to mail the return, and generated an error message until I was able to correct it on my own (and finally e-file).

I filed my nephews return, but paid the $25.00, form was rejected, so it has been mailed. I was not able to file my state return for free, even though I did not use my one free state filing.
