The speed and accuracy of putting together my taxes is great. I have used TurboTax about 18 years and will continue as long as Quicken is in business, I feel that the competion doesn't come close.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

TurboTax is basic and not smart

Lots of manual changes and fixes need to be done. Not clear if TT takes the right dicision. There was one major issue among many others that need to be taken care of manually. Several areas it is not clear what number to enter( for example, only for specific months, for full year or all payment, etc). It does standard calcs very well but special situations one needs to do a lot of research to enter data or selection the right options. Also, it sticks with some data that cannot be cleared at all .For example, it kept keeping 1090T with my name automatically and would not let me go without me choosing as a student, although i am not. there is no way to delete that form/worksheet.

Good product but the wrap up needs some streamling

I always have to log in to Turbo Tax twice and fill in information 2x. I don't like to save my credit card information but you think they could hold on to it for at least the session. Same with all of the drivers license information. Does the gov require it? Also on the suggested email for emailing news about my filing must be from 11 years ago. I haven't worked at that company forever and just entered my correct email address in 4 different spots. Just needs to be more efficient.

I've used Turbotax for years, and have the CD Boxes to prove it. Because tax return is due now, I downloaded It quickly and perfectly. It updated and installed without a glitch. Worked perfect and finished fast. Thanx!
