Love Turbp Tax

Using Turbo Tax to do my taxes makes it all very easy and I save money. I can do it right from home and dont have to carry papers to some tax preparers offices and make appoinments etc.
Pros: My employment status changed this year

I use it, but it has some annoying quirks

Two quirks that I wish TurboTax would fix:
1) I'm a clergyman who gets a housing allowance. TurboTax doesn't make it easy to find where to put this information. One would think it's in either the "business income" or "personal income" section, but no, it's not there. You have to go to "business information" and enter the code for ministerial work -- 813000. When you do that, a box pops up where you enter the housing allowance. If you need to later adjust this figure, you have to remember to go back to that same place, even though the "business information" isn't changing; you have to type in that same 813000 number again to get that box back. Not at all intuitive.
2) Why doesn't TurboTax allow you to do any arithmetic within the application? Sometimes you have several numbers to add together, but you can't do that in TurboTax. You have to open the calculator separately, then copy and paste the result into TurboTax. Quicken, which used to be an Intuit product, allows you to do arithmetic right within the application. Why doesn't TurboTax?

It would be nice as you navigate from section to section that you don't have to go to the bottom of the screen to select the next section, Show the newest on the top to avoid scrolling.

Peace of mind with Turbo Tax

Been using Turbo Tax for years now, and it's great! Very methodical and thorough and educational -- and easy to use. That feeling when the taxes have been transmitted is pure satisfaction.
