Works every time!

This year was a bit more complicated....in addition to our two businesses, we had three K-1s associated with the disposition of my parents' estate. TurboTax Home and Business worked great.

More complicated than it needs to be

Over all, it works good. However, there is information in the last year's tax return that Turbo Tax can retrieve instead of asking me to look it up. The HSA module is very complicated, and I don't understand why it needs to be so complex. The foreign tax credit is a problem every single year. If you can get the 1099-DIV automatically from the broker, why not work with the broker so that you can get the amount of Foreign gains included on the 1099 instead of throwing a flag and asking the user to hunt and peck for foreign gains through the broker statements. Again, good product, but needs simplification in several modules and better utilization of the data already available. One more thing: It needs to have a predictor for itemized deductions. Instead of requiring me input al my itemized deductions like mortgage, car registration and so on, it should simply tell you that If you do not have at least this much in itemized deduction, don't waste you time entering itemized deductions.

Instruction to handle sales of second home

The instruction to handle sales of second home capital gain is missing or unclear. I have to check with the user's group online a few time to figure out how to do it. Maybe this can be improved in the future versions

Turbo Tax is great!

After Purchasing Turbo Tax I dont believe you should charge extra to file state returns. Other tax Prep services do not!
