Does the job every year

TurboTax makes filing taxes as easy as it can be. I like that I can choose what to work on when and the easy transfer of data from last year's return year after year.

Easy to work with. The only problem I had is with K1 forms. Every year its one or two items I have to correct and many times I do not have any idea what you are looking for.

Turbo Tax 2020 Review

I used the 2020 Turbo Tax Home and Business software. The software saved time and reduced (eliminated) having to make a lot of calculations or becoming conversant with tax law changes and forms such as the rebate credit form. However, I did have some problems initially with the state form as the turbo software did not reflect state tax changes involving tax relief for those receiving unemployment compensation. The state tax law was not passed until March 20201. Therefore, I realized that Turbo Tax would not have reflected the changes immediately. However, once I became aware, I talked to two Turbo tax specialists who were not aware of the new state law. I informed the specialists who after initially saying that the law did not cover unemployment compensation as I stated, agreed with me. Later, Turbo Tax updated the software to incorporate the state law changes.

shame its not more user friendly for old it is

The UI is so clunky. How about using Date Pickers? How about making it extremely clear when you need User input or not? How about making the happy path or most common answers very easy to pick. Overall its pretty helpful though and save me from paying an accountant. But it could be so much better for how old this product is. If I had a baby in current year...but not in the last year....still let me add her even though I wont get a credit for her....at least the info will be in there for next time.
