Turbo Tax Review

I've used Turbotax since it came out & this year was a real struggle. Mainly since you no longer allow us to use windows 7. Had to buy laptop & took allot longer using windows 10. Allot of glitches where screens would come up blank in the Turbotax program & I had to manually enter the info on the tax page

Crypto is Needlessly Complex

I needed to report Crypto sales. In order to do so I had to use the Help function to find out where to enter this. The Help tells me how to do it online only!!!! Also, WHY CAN I NOT IMPORT CRYPTO LIKE OTHER INVESTMENTS!!!!!!!

I have been using TurboTax for home & business through the years. I have seen a lot of improvements many times over. Very user-friendly, easy to follow directions and appropriate tax guidance specific to your situation. Highly recommended!!!

I have rental income from my airbnb rooms which makes for a complicated tax return. Sometimes I don't answer TurboTax questions correctly. I had three calls with their specialists, two were CPAs, and got everything solved. It was very impressive.

Tax form changes and updating of TurboTax

Because of all the changes happening with Covid and Govt. stimulus checks and law changes there were many tax updates needed. I for one have a full time job, small business income and 2 kids in college. Lots of forms to fill out. It would be nice that when TurboTax updates, that it shows which forms and maybe program features were actually updated, which will only help in digesting my steps needed to correct a problem or waiting to file...
