Turbo Tax makes it easy

I have a somewhat complicated return (foreign tax, rental properties, self employed, multi types of investments) and Turbo Tax makes it very easy to do. I would pay dearly to have a tax service do it.

TurboTax Can Do the Job

Took longer than I expected to complete my tax return. You will need to know some tax law and filing requirements. There is more than enough worksheets to ensure the returns are error free.

Have been using TT for a number of years. This was the first time I had to file a return for an additional Stat (as a non-resident). Was a little bit more difficult, but I got through the process.

Lack of ability to transfer information

It is very awkward to transfer information between TurboTax business and TurboTax Home & Business. Since you develop both products this should be made much easier than it is. Also the hidden cost is unbelievable. You advertise/state 5 Federal and 1 State is free with purchase, but then when I went to file you want more money to complete filing. The total cost should be laid out up front.
