Turbo Tax Easy!

I use your software every year, because it saves time and step by step makes filing so easy. However, if I have an issue with it, its that finding the answer to a mistake or getting back to where I placed it, is hard to find. I still recommend the use without a doubt.

Very dated design and poor navigation

Very dated design. Navigation is poor - difficult to find forms and easy to lose where you left off. Errors and validation should be done as data is entered rather than a separate step. E-filing is clunky - fails and then tells you to download an update rather prompting for updates as soon as they are available

Makes complicated taxes much easier

I'd be paying a tax professional a lot more to do my taxes. With two home-based businesses, retirement income and a K-1 with carryovers and losses, I would have been pulling my hair out or paying someone a hefty sum of money to complete my taxes. TurboTax walked me through everything, helped me correct errors, and found deductions I didn't know I had. Thanks, TT!

Thought it would be a little more user friendly

This is the 17th year I've used TT. Each year some pluses and then some minus'. TT doesn't ask the user friendly questions it used to. For example, when preparing a dependents return who is a full time student, it asks for a 1095A form completion. TT should indicate in next sentence, if the dependent is listed on another return as a dependent under the 1095A form - there is no need to complete it in the dependents return. Also, regardng 1099-Q and 1098-T forms, careful, if I listened to TT I would've been paying $1,048 in Taxes on the federal return. TT totally botched the question and calculation. Why would the dependent pay taxes on tuition paid or the scholarships they were awarded, and tax free qualified 529 account disbursements to pay tuition? Why would "run error" report return an error that states "the error is that you cant file electronically because of earning or no refund"? Just say no errors, your done!
