Turbo Tax updates on MAC

The program itself is great. The issue is with MAC users the constant updates when you close the program and reopen to continue your return. it's the same update every time. You have to turn off your wifi to "trick" the program not to go into updates.

Turbo tax really tries to push me into filing a non-resident form for Florida Taxes when I paid zero Florida income tax and from everything I researched I do NOT need to file a non-resident income tax form.
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

TurboTax is a lifesaver, but still has rough edges

Our taxes are complicated enough that doing them without turbotax would be near impossible. I've been using it for years. I have a pretty new very capable laptop running Windows 10. This year, as I've experienced in the past, turbotax remains pretty slow (loading, updating, etc). Looks like its still a 32 bit application. Between federal and state taxes I typically run into one or more small bugs, like times the program repeats a segment of a directed walkthrough repeatedly, or does something odd with my HSA or college tax breaks. I work through these things in forms mode. I'll remain a customer, but wish for some improvements!

Overall this program is reasonable to use

Very disappointed in being told I would have to pay for my state return even though it says I have one free state. A free state when all the information is transferred from federal and little is need to complete the state. So not sure I would spend the added cost for this program since I am being charge more for the state or have to file it again on state site that is free, just more time consuming. So I feel your product is not as good since it's more abut selling. Just disappointed.

Great Product but why charge to file State Return

Turbo Tax is a great product for filing tax returns. It's a very easy program to use. However I think the filing of the State Return should be included. One state is advertised to be included, but then you charge $25 to file it. A bit misleading I think.

A little harder this year

I think Turbo Tax worked well as usual. Mine were a little more complicated this year with closing a small business, selling a rental home and moving to another state which made it seem more challenging. I have used Turbo for nearly 15 years and have always found it to be reliable and quite user friendly
