Its like working in a vacuum

Tried e-filing. Big mistake. IR rejected return due to no AGI match. Ended up requesting transcript from IRS. Showed the same AGI I originally entered. No cost to me for the Fed return, but I had to pay Intuit $25 to file the state return, which can't pass because the Fed return keeps getting rejected. An expensive lesson on why NOT to efile.

Turbo needs to include their software windows 7

Had to buy a brand new computer to file taxes using windows 10; where is my deduction for a new computer just for filing taxes. :(

updates were almost impossible

It was great until it came time for federal review and the check updates. Doing all the recommendations and then finally doing administrator and compatability made it work after spending 7 hours with just trying to update.
Pros: My employment status changed this year

Not the best for Expats living abroad

I've used TurboTax for over 25 years, but now that we live overseas, I'm considering looking for something else, as it doesn't handle our (living overseas) situation very well. There were numerous items where TT asked questions but did not give enough guidance on how to get the answers.

Exhausting Turbo Tax Finally Complete!

Nothing but problems with the download of 2020 Turbo Tax Home and Business. My records online are missing from 2019 filing eventhough I did file through them. Trying to get final update in middle of tax input would not work. Ended up deleting the originally downloaded software and application then re-downloading from site. Hope you can do better next year.

Needs Improvement

I have always had good luck with the Turbotax program. This was the first year EVER (in 18 years) that I experienced problems with Turbotax. When it came time to efile, there was an error message stating the program was looking for an attachment. It did not state where. I called support and they were not able to assist me. I even started from scratch and could not find where I could add an attachment. I also purchased another state tax and decided I wanted to delete it and start over and the program would not allow that either. I wound up sending in a paper copy and am hoping it is accepted. Improvements needed: add a feature to attach PDF's and allow for deletions. I am hoping someone is reading this and sends a reimbursement for this year's program.
