TurboTax works great

Used to have our taxes done at H&R Block, then I found out we were entitled to more of a refund, but their agents refused to do the extra work to get it for us. Switched to TurboTax and now get everything we're entitled to.

Great for filling at my own speed

I'm retired, collect pensions, my wife is self employed, so turbo tax helps me figure out just about everything I need to file my taxes, 99% of the time.

TurboTax is Family Friendly

I buy TurboTax every year and it has been a lifesaver. Aside from my taxes, I am also able to use TurboTax to assist my 80 year-old dad get his taxes filed and also help my recent college grad son get his filed. Three generations of tax filers are thankful for TurboTax.

TurboTax was mediocre for me this year.

Quick access to all the forms, and the explanations were well implemented. However, I had some difficulty discovering the stimulus payment info on the 1040 form! One wrong click and I realized I never encountered stimulus questions, so I traced back and made sure to correct my info.
The entire U.S.A was impacted by the virus crisis from 2020, especially the average citizen. I think there should be a more prominent natural disaster section with pop-ups so someone does not make the mistake I almost made. Overall, there was great guidance throughout the majority of the tax process.

First Time Nerves

I was absolutely panicked for my first time filing taxes. TurboTax made it easy for me, guiding me step by step through each form I needed to file and automatically transferring my forms electronically.

Started off well ended bad

The turbotax software is very easy to use very user friendly. So for that I like it. I also like the screen sharing ability with customer service. However, there was a reoccurring issue with the AGI preventing me from e-filing. The AGI was inputted correct (checked its transcript for accuracy) but continued to be rejected. Turbotax instructed me to try $0 and that didn't work either.

The Q&A format makes it very easy to get all tax information into TTax. It has helped do taxes for many widows also.
