THE WORST

I have been using TurboTax for many years, probably ten, and this was the worst experience I have encountered. Why did TurboTax require returning to the 2019 return so many times this year when it was transferred to the 2020 return? This was very annoying to close the 2020, open the 2019, find the date, close the 2019, rep-open the 2020 only to find that three steps later you had to repeat this. Not to mention that I had to update the 2019 software twice to get this data. Totally ridiculous. The taxes were already filed.

The federal section is great. The State section (work in KC, MO) is stressful. Would be nice if it had more helpful prompts like the federal section. It feels like just grabbing a tax form and filling it out, which gives me anxiety.

It works reasonably well, BUT it is annoying that the program only sometimes tells you it needs updates before you start work. It is annoying that you have to go through multiple credit card transactions for audit defense, file fee, etc. Why can't they do it all in a single transaction? It is annoying that EVERY YEAR you have to "correct errors" (line items that require an entry) that should have been handled already.

Best Tax Software but still lacks

Some form entries cannot be changes in forms. Must to Step by Step to make changes. Some Support tables in forms don't appear in Forms and vice versa.
What if has many problems. columns 2-4 make changes when coping main return over. Have to correct these errors. ProSeries Planner does a better job. Why not include this in Turbotax?
