TurboTax makes it so easy!

The TurboTax Home & Business package was perfect for me. I'm self-employed, and this has been a crazy year, but the program walked me through all the things I needed to know. On-screen help was all I ever needed, but it was nice to know that help was a chatbox away. I'll never pay someone to do my taxes again!
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments

Better than paying TONS to someone

We save money doing taxes ourselves. If we had someone else do our taxes we'd have to pay so much & do much of the work compiling receipts etc anyways so we just save money & do them ourselves. It does take many, many hours though. The help options are not very helpful & it seems you have to answer the same ?'s over & over.

Problems with making error correction

Overall this is a good product. I have used TurboTax Home and Business since 2008. I switched from Windows to iOS three years ago. I prefer Windows because it seems to be a lot less buggy. My biggest problem was with correcting errors I had made as I answered prompts in the programs. I had to go to the form to correct the error and it was not obvious at all how to do this on some of the forms. Other than that, easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Just follow the steps, and get everything figured out.. in a lot less time it takes, and lot less money, than to go file somewhere else!

A Necessary and Sufficient Tool for my taxes

I could not have completed my tax returns on my own, and TurboTax offers a convenient and fast way for me to complete them. I learn about new tax rules by reading the convenient explanations provided by TurboTax at many points during the tax preparation process. I have been using it for years, and appreciate its power and precision.
