Getting too pricey

Had to wait awhile until updates were finally in place in order to file the forms. Software is getting too expensive especially when it costs $25 just to file the state form. Going to start looking at less expensive software.

Legislation Needed for Taxpayer Protection

Had to use most expensive product for a few minor Schedule C and investment information. No reason that the few numbers I entered should cost so much more for this version. Also, state filing fee disproportionate to actual cost to Intuit. Legislation needs to solve these issues. Look up how lobbyists for TurboTax make this product cost more and how individuals are overcharged to file returns.

Turbotax software is excellent.

We have used Turbo Tax for many years. TurboTax software is user friendly. the step by step process is excellent. Easy to switch to forms if you like to see the actual forms.
It did take a long time to get a credit for a state form we inadvertently purchased. That was not a good experience.

Turbo Tax is slipping

TT continues to be my go-to tax program but I am disappointed that over the years the help tab is not providing an understandable (in layman terms) explanation. More importantly, this year I found that when you request information on a topic, it often does not offer you the option to go immediately to the form or step-by-step instruction location.
