Reliably used for decades. While not perfect it does the job with few hiccups and asks about items I would not have thought of without its help. When I have questions the help files point me in the right direction. I trust and rely on TurboTax.

Good but I would like to see some changes.

As a married taxpayer, I would like to complete a joint return. Then I would like for TurboTax to create separate returns from the information entered in the joint return. These separate returns would be used for comparison purposes. as a former programmer, I believe that this could be accomplished pretty easily because, at least in my case, each bit of information entered into the joint return is assigned to one or the other of us individually.
I would also like to see all of the buttons leading to the next page/operation appear on the page without having to scroll down to find the buttons. On occasion, the lack of being able to see the buttons has led to confusion and/or believing that turbotax was locked up.

Not built for do-it-yourself for businesses

For easy to moderately complicated taxes, Turbotax is great. But through in a small business and things get complicated quickly and the supporting documentation and guides are woefully unhelpful.

Turbo Tax is really reliable and I enjoy using it. For some reason, it always takes a long time to update, but I use that time to get my documents organized. Researching topics is not always easy.

Definitely Some Glitches

In the 30 years I've been using TurboTax, I've experienced glitches from time to time. Some years it's been smooth, while others not so much. This tax year 2020 version, completely skipped over my W2 and went right into deductions. It also missed some business deductions and I had to manually enter them myself. Had I not been so experienced with this software from all the years using it, I probably would have made a critical error or missed a serious deduction this year. And the one thing I never, never do is transfer the prior year's taxes to the current year, because every year is different, and it will surely go wrong and you'll have to start over. Been there, done that. I'll see what I'll do for next year. Just might have to check out the competition.
