I have been using turbo tax for over 10 years. However, I still find it hard to find certain things. some explanations of why a deduction is not allowed are difficult to understand.

Excellent product but it would be even better if..

On the whole an excellent product but it can be very frustrating if the answer to making an entry is not obvious. Usually but not always, Google is your friend. Also, if all you want to do is to go back to a specific page it is very very annoying to have to page through multiple pages just to get to the page you want. But on the whole, excellent.

bad recommendation

Turbo tax's recommendation on using itemized deductions vs standard deduction would have resulted in higher federal tax. For married filing jointly (over 65) and you can take the $300 adjustment for donations to charity, if the itemized deduction is >$16,100 but < $16,400, the standard deduction is better. Also need better transparency on how Turbo tax determines limitations to mortgage interest.
