Getting more complicated to use

Obvious linkages between forms and prompts are missing. For example, on errors, it prompts for a field, but doesn't show enough context to make sense. I worked around by selecting the forms. It did go to needed form, but it wasn't near the field in error.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments

TurboTax made it easy and the check status tool is great, assuring me that i have someone looking over my shoulder and helping me be sure my returns are complete and accurate.

2019 TurboTax Review

I have used Turbo Tax for several years and have always been very satisfied although when you changed formats to only asking questions and filling all of the forms, while it was easier it also got me further away from understanding the other forms. This bit me in 2019. I will need to talk to Turbo Tax about my experience which was very disappointing. If I am wrong I would be glad to change my rating.

Like the program, HATE the surprise charges

TurboTax works well, as always. That said, I HATE HATE HATE all of the surprise add-ons (purchasing states, purchasing e-file, etc.). Plus, the prices for these add-ons are way too high. $25 to e-file a state? After I just purchased the state for $45? That purchase, especially at that price, should include e-file. Would love alternatives to TurboTax, because they pull you and and your captured, you have no choice but to pay their prices.
