EFILING was difficult

TurboTax is fun.

TurboTax makes it so easy to file my taxes on my own. I enjoy doing silly surveys and quizzes online so it really does make it fun to do taxes!! You don't believe me. That's fine.

Archaic unfriendly software

This software feels like the projects I used to work on in the 90s, and I wonder if it's not just been constantly tweaked each year for decades. Mouse wheel scrolling doesn't work, it always opens in a small size and I need to resize it. It asks me to register every time I open it (has anyone registered software in the last 15 years?).
And while using it, I constantly have questions running through my head:
- Why are you asking me what tax forms I have before attempting an import? I get all kinds of 1099s from different brokerages and don't want to sort through them all and figure it out. Why not just ask me to do all my imports up front and then sort it out for me?
- Why doesn't copy and pasting work (document ID for instance)?
- Why is there no way to quickly compare removing dependents? Extra points if you also access their return and show total profit or loss of different options for my family. Let me enter info for all household members then calculate the optimal filing methods for each.
- Why am I constantly re-entering stuff you know from my 2019 taxes? So much is the same, and you have me looking it all back up again to re-enter (for example: home office expenses).

And can we stop the $25 fee for state e-filing? It's easier on the state when I e-file! And I'm asked to pay $25 to avoid the expense of a $0.60 stamp?
I use this still only because I tried Tax Act in 2016 and it was even worse! But I've already resolved to try a different software next year. If someone can even make a mediocre 3-star application you guys are going to be losing a lot of customers...

Turbo tax has some issues

Have tried to submit my tax return at least 6 times, keep getting a rejection note indicating my AGI for last year does not agree with my filed return. It does agree, secondly, when checking the IRS website, the AGI is exactly what they have on file as well. Given up and will seek refund for the state return that also cannot be submitted electronically as the federal has not been accepted.

Fidelity 1099-B tax lots always fail

For the last 6+ years I've had to go in and manually fill in purchase date, sales date, and cost basis for each tax lot downloaded from Fidelity. This doesn't warrant a bad review but I'm surprised it's gone on this long. Otherwise, still giving a 4 star review. See I'm nice... now please fix! :)
