Problems with Foreign Tax Credit

I've been using TurboTax for 20 plus years, and it works better and better over time. However, there will always be some time-consuming glitch on my rather complex returns. This year it turned out to be process for claiming the Foreign Tax Credit. It would be best to suggest to people to ALWAYS select "Various" when they have a few foreign stocks and/ or ETFs and then give the total income and total tax paid to foreign countries. Trying to work country by country (I only had two) in addition to one ETF which received income from various countries involved me in a two-hour work around. I had to delete the Form 1116 where I tried this, and do everything as Various. Overriding the existing form resulted in an error which made electronic filing impossible. Please make this easier for us next year (which I'm sure you can, despite the complexity of the law!). Thanks.

The product was great helping me with the forms and schedules. I was disappointed with the amended return feature not available as of 3/10/2021 for the 2020 filing season.

TurboTax: Always Up-to-date, Stable, Reliable

We have used TurboTax Home & Business for years. It is consistently reliable (always up to date), accurate in it's calculations, thorough and as user-friendly as possible for software as complex as tax preparation. Its screen design and functionality is excellent and seems to improve every year.

Turbo Tax make filing taxes very easy. At each step, there is a lot of explanation to what you have to do, and where to go.

Turbo tax is troublesom

My computer died from last year and I could not locate my tax records. when trying to contact Turbotax it seems I have 3 different accounts, even though I have been filing my taxes with turbotax for years. It was a pain to get my AGI for 2019.
