Desktop Download-PC or MAC...Awesome!

I have used Turbo Tax Desktop for both PC and Mac for at least 9 years now. I can see my previous entries and can adjust, using the forms option, when there is missing information. I love this version of Turbo Tax! I also used the Online Version this year...and HATED IT! The desktop version FAR EXCEEDS expectations...the online version is REALLY BAD!

Being able to go through the step by step process is great. I have been using this product for over 15 years and it is so easy I can go to forms input data them go back to step by step to make sure I did not miss anything. With all of my investment properties, I was finished in less than 5 hours.

love hate relationship with Turbo tax

Generally I love his software; it is easy to follow, includes all necessary info and has fairly understandable online help available. I HATE the fact that boxes uncheck themselves that you've checked before when you go back in and want to double check or correct something, especially in the rental property section. I'm also not a fan of not being able to correct items in the forms. Here's another suggestion; when you have errors, you should be able to double click on them and go to the "easy step" item where you have to fix it. I had a few items where specific worksheets weren't filled out (not required for return filing) and all I could do was enter one line, or check the box. No explanation as to what I needed these worksheets for (even when I searched help). initially the "fix it" option told me I needed a form about medical insurance (did I have it all years) then I couldn't find the form, and the error message later just disappeared. ridiculous.
