TurboTax is good, but it could be better

Once again I had to spend time understanding the more specific rules of each of my states that require a return and could not rely solely on TurboTax. It was helpful, but I would have been stumped if I did not know more than the software system.

Been Using for 21 Years - Still Needs Tweaking

I could not efile state without including federal. IRS required filling by mail as my wife is a Non Resident Alien (NRA). New York State rules do not allow filling by mail. Hopefully, i wont be punished for mailing the state return. Please don't link the two returns for efiling. Flexibility results in a better product.

I am a big fan of Turbo Tax. Very helpful. I wish it had a method where I can ask the software to focus on a certain section or issue and go directly there. For example, if I inherited something, the software may not address, then I could type in "inheritance" or "beneficiary" and it would take me to the appropriate tax location or form.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments
