Easy to use for Federal Returns.

Helps Filing So Much, but somewhat glitchy

Some sections were confusingly worded this year and it caused me to take longer to file than usual. There was also a glitch where the questions they asked did not properly translate to one of the forms, so a later section indicated I was moving from AZ to CA when the reverse was true and I could not figure out how to fix it. Took several hours to figure it out and finally realized I had to go into the Forms section and manually update a form that Turbo Tax's software improperly filled out based on their questionnaire.

Never keeps track of the data and no free file.

Lots of manual data entry work among other issues. Year after year they loose all of my online data. on top of that it says my account doesn't exist until I reset it up then at the end it says you account already exists and lets me log in. when I reach the end of the process to file my taxes it denies that I have an account with them again and then starts telling me my passwords are incorrect and when I go to reset the pass word their network has errors and makes me pay for things with my card instead of my refund. I suspect they've charged me twice this year. they say file for free but am always charged for the program and to file state after they had me agree that state cost $0.

Pleasantly surprised!

I didn't know exactly what to expect, especially in an "interview" mode, but the process was pretty well-organized. This was the first year of my wife being self-employed and TurboTax made that much simpler! I am a little concerned about the W-2c "alert"--I see that a lot of folks started getting that just within the past week which suggests to me that it is a TurboTax glitch. Like them, I don't see any way that the SS withholding was incorrect. Now we'll see how the refunds go!

Good Program, Sad to see it go away!

I've been using TurboTax since 1997, and it has worked very well for me. This year, I got a warning message stating that I would need to have the newer (inferior) version on Mac OS in order to use the software next year. I guess this is good bye! If they don't rethink there deliberate phasing out of Mojave users, I will be looking for a different tax solution next year. If anyone is reading this at Intuit, please feel free to contact me.
