I use the software for a sole proprietor/home office/individual taxpayer. TurboTax not only runs all the numbers for me, but because of the questions it asks me, I learn what expenses to keep track of in the future.

Turbo Tax File Sharing Problems

I had consistent problems with TurboTax auto saving and saving my tax return. As in past years, my return is kept on a flash drive. This year I consistently got a message that TurboTax could not save my return because the file was locked. It was not and this was verified using Finder (as recommended by the TurboTax program). I used a MacBook Pro with the latest update for macOS BigSur. This also created problems with the e-file process because the program attempts to save the file as part of the transmission. The work-around was to leave my return running in TurboTax, eject the flash drive using "Finder", reinsert the flash drive, and retry the transmission.
