Does not contain all state forms

I chose the Turbotax home and business because it "is recommended if: you are self-employed, an independent contractor, a freelancer, a small business owner, a sole proprietor, have a home office or home-based business"
It does not correctly file state taxes for these entities. It is missing at least one ny form.

The mechanism for review is not helpful. it gives no context for your error check, just saying that form X is missing input. It is up to you to find how to swap to the "form" mode, navigate to the form, understand what is being asked, look up what is being asked online (because it is not mentioned anywhere in the software and there is no guidance that I could find in form mode) fill it in and then swap back to guided mode. Once you are in guided mode again, then you navigate back to the audit section and rerun it.Very awkward.

Still got charged for a State Filing Fee

Software was easy to use. Said 1 free State filing was included. Before starting my return, I was asked if I wanted to use my free State filing. I said yes. Was still charged $20 at end or couldn't file. As everything was ready, I had no choice but to pay the $20 to file. So don't believe you will get 1 free State filing.

I have had a great experience with Turbo Tax for a number of years. I thought I should point out an error in the program although it does not affect the outcome of my return. On Form 8582 MAGI Work Sheet Line 7, the program carries the total IRA distribution to this worksheet as the taxable IRA distribution amount versus the actual taxable amount. This is an error and can impact the deductible amount of real estate loss on Form 8582. I waited 2 months for TB to correct the error in update. Didn't happen.
