Not all US citizens live in the US.

Better than it used to be, but still not great at handling the extremely common case of US citizens resident in Canada. Even simple things like postal codes having a space in them, but also missed opportunities like knowing the exchange rates, understanding that we have a T4 not a W2, we might have nonresident alien spouses, etc.

Real Software Problem That Needs Fixing

When I efiled my original 2020 return it was rejected by the IRS and Turbo Tax took care of taking me through the correction process to fixi the problem and I resubmitted that corrected return which was accepted. Then, later, I realized I had not entered relevant income informaton so I created an amended return. However Turbo Tax would not allow me to efile the amended return because information I submitted on my previously rejected original return instead of the on the accepted corrected original return was being used to compare the amended return information to the original return. This problem could not be overridden so I had to print and mail the amended return with a check to the IRS in order to file it. Turbo Tax should fix this so that if a rejected original return is corrected and accepted the software refers to the corrected original return rather the the incorrect rejected original return if later an amended return is necessary.

I haven't done my taxes myself in awhile. Definitely won't use turbo tax ever again. It was cheaper asking family lawyer to complete it. Also this company literally only exists to be a parasite of society.

Being a novice filing my own income tax: Priceless

I'm newly retired and anxious regarding filing my own income taxes- TurboTax makes it so much easier and understandable. Thanks for making this an excellent process with little to no anxiety associated with Federal Income Tax Filing.
