There are two design flaws in this sleek-looking kettle
The lid has an awkward opening and
The filter is attached to an extended length of metal which’s adds unnecessarily to the kettle height and the filter keeps flopping down out of position where it becomes useless.

Love it for having hot tea; it’s so cool that the on/off lever lights up and then shuts off automatically when the water is boiled. It’s very easy to clean, as opposed to a whistling teapot.
I would recommend that one be careful when closing down the lid so one does not get one’s finger pinched.
It’s great for a good hot cup of tea or for whatever you need hot water. I use it every day.

Veryn ice kettle. It looks good and seems well made. I like that it’s mostly metal and glass. If you don’t want plastic in the water the strainer is removable. The only thing that could be better is the design of the locking mechanism for the lid. It’s a little difficult to open and close. You have to pull up on the lever in both directions, which isn’t really a problem when opening but is a little awkward when closing. Not a deal killer but it is a minor inconvenience.

I had never owned an electric teapot, although I had used them in Europe. I didn’t think I needed one. Over the holidays, my son and his wife who have one wanted us to get one for our vacation home and we did. I brought it home I loved it so much—-the convenience and the speed of getting boiling water without having to get a pan or use the microwave and another dish. I love the look of the Cuisinart with the glass pitcher and stainless steel. I will be buying another one.

Having long wondered about switching from on-the-stove teakettle to a cordless electric kettle, I decided on this one. I wanted a glass kettle, didn't want one that turned the kettle to a color when boiling, and didn't need variable temperatures. This Cuisinart Kettle fit the bill and is perfect. There is a residue on the bottom due to hard water in my municipality, but I can clean and descale this easily. The kettle is efficient in heating quickly, capable of switching off when heated to max, easy to fill and pour from, and affordable.
