Doesn't work

I bought less than 2 weeks ago. Most the time it only works on speaker phone. Sometimes the audio doest work at all on messenger. The worst part is I'm making payments on it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My screen broke within days

I received my pixel 4a in the mail. A very reasonable amount of sweat/water splashed on the screen. I didn't submerge it in a pool of water or anything. Boom. The screen was broken. It didn't make it 3 days. The warranty doesn't cover this kind of damage. It's a complete disappointment and I'm out hundreds of dollars.The hardware is great otherwise. Totally bummed at the quality Google.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've been using this phone for about almost a year and it has survived everything I've thrown at it it is a thought phone and the oled screen is amazing.

Good phone but I miss my Pixel 4. Seems to have some slight issues and would probably recommend buying the Pixel 5

Excellent response, easy to use interface (that's coming from a lifelong iPhone user). The fingerprint unlocking feature is fantastically responsive! The negatives are mostly superficial:1. The "sounds" options are relatively limited and perhaps a little juvenile? I'd like more practical options if possible. Regular and/or echoing ring, perhaps a swooshing noise for a text, etc2. Case options. This may be more a case manufacturing issue, but with the device being seemingly more delicate/vulnerable than the iPhone, I'm wondering if better protective cases are available? I have the otterbox, which looks nice, but the protective screen covering has to be pasted on, which isn't ideal.All-in-all, I've been extremely satisfied with its performance after just a week of using it.

Still getting used to it

Although I'm still getting used to it so far I like the 4a 5g. I think I was able to find certain things in my text messages easier on the 4xl but other than that my pictures are still nice. Hit me back in a month ☺️.
