Overheating Pixel 4a phone

Compared to my old phone, this one overheats and turns off on its own. I don't know why and am considering returning it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I absolutely love my new phone, I love the cameras features, still haven't learned them all but my niece is helping me. Love the scam call answering features, it's so much fun seeing them hang up and not having so many voicemails. I'm still learning how to use it, but overall I just really LOVE this phone and highly recommend it!

Could be loads better.

The device is laggyer and slower than the pixal 4 Also, the battery says its charging rapidly, but it ends up charging super super slow. If any kind of fast charging, it takes like 2 hours and a half to finish the charging.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Had 2XL before this and that battery life was better/longer. The 4a 5g started out good and fast, but has fairly quickly gotten laggy and slow over the past 9 months-- to the point of getting 'UI' stopped working errors and screens that won't respond. Mostly around the Camera and Maps apps. Disappointing. Wiped/factory reset 2 weeks ago, which made it somewhat faster and no errors for now. Still needs bigger battery to easily go 24 hrs w/ moderate usage.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Pixel 4a 5G review from a long time Pixel owner

I have owned a Google Pixel phone since I could pre-order the first one. I have loved all my Pixel phones until this one. I just feel blah about it. Sure the 5G coverage and speeds are unlike any phone I have owned before. But the phone just doesn't leave me feeling excited. The camera honestly is average, the battery life is ok, and the feel of the phone is well cheap. I actually have had to replace the screen twice due to it cracking. I have never had to replace a Pixel screen till this phone. I actually regret not spending more for the Pixel 5 instead. While it is still a Google phone and I stand by the Pixel lineup, I would not recommend the phone. I would suggest buying the Pixel 5 instead.

This phone has a phenomenal battery. I am pleased with everything about it. Oh and it still has an audio jack which is near obsolete.
I would recommend this to a friend!
