I want my buttons back
on May 6, 2021
Posted by: Paul
Great phone good battery, but I hate the gesture crap. I want my buttons back. When I want to go back I want to hit the back button not try and make the correct gesture 3 times before the phone figures out what I want, when I want to go to the main screen I want the home button not a swipe up . Quit over thinking this, remember K.I.S.S. keep it simple stupid

Expected better

The biggest problem with the phone though it might also be with Android 11 is how you access all your open windows you're supposed to press at the bottom of the screen and slowly swipe up but more often than not this brings the all apps menu. There should be a way to self program a better shortcut. The main reason I bought the phone was to switch to Google Fi.. and this works pretty well although it's not cheap, mint is 15 for 4GB of data.. with the dark mode I can usually go all day without recharging... There's probably a ton of tips and tricks..

The best phone for it's price range.

I switched over from a Samsung Note 10 Plus originally due to a majority of my workflow and services were more Google-oriented, so I decided to get a Google Phone to stay in one digital ecosystem. Very amazed at the photo and video quality the Pixel 4a 5G has. From my own personal experience and opinion. My photos and video came out better on my new Pixel than the Samsung I owned. Also, the Google ecosystem works great for me with all their apps and services. My only gripe is the battery life. The phone is perfect for me in every way, but the battery life. My Samsung with heavy use usually lasted me about 2 days and a half. For the Pixel, I find myself charging daily. Not really a deal-breaker though as this is to be expected with the price range this phone is available at, and I am sure later or newer powerful Pixels will have even better battery life. I still highly recommend the Pixel 4a 5G as a great mid-range choice and it is definitely near the top of its mid-range class.

Switching to a Pixel Phone with no regrets!

Having been a long-time Samsung Galaxy phone user and an Android fan since the G1 was released for T-Mobile, it has never been a thought of mine to venture on over to becoming an I-Phone owner. As satisfied as I was with my Galaxy Note 8, I had been contemplating for quite some time on purchasing a Pixel phone. What caught my interest was the simplicity in design and Pixel phones having a bare-bones version of the Android UI. I've had my Pixel 4G for over a week now and I am glad to have moved forward with the purchase with no regrets! Not having the bloatware that is often included in other phones, I was able to appreciate Android in it's purest form. While I do miss using the stylus that my Note 8 had, the Pixel's screenshot function with the ability to crop has proven to be adequate and has suited my needs just fine. I've been able to enjoy the phone's camera capabilities and the phone's size which is better suited for the size of my hands. Pixel 4G is def a phone to consider!

Great Phone even without 5G

I am sad to report the death of my Pixel XL. In its final months it was ailing from a cracked screen and a battery that needed frequent recharging. It passed peacefully while sleeping.I am a VerizonWireless customer and have (4G) LTE service. I have an older plan that I share with three other members of my family. It is a 10 Gb plan.I selected the Pixel 4a 5G because it has the same processor and GPU as the 5. The phone measurement is a 10th of an inch bigger than my departed XL but overall the screen is larger. It has a big battery.Best of all I can set my preferred Mobile Date to LTE. No way I was going with 5G with the VerizonWireless plans. As a matter of fact, if you read the fine print, VerizonWireless has yet another version of this phone designated Pixel 4a 5G UW (Ultrawide). Google does not sell an unlocked version of the 4a with UW. Strike two against VerizonWireless .I purchased this phone for the value and features I need. It is great

Great phone

I've had my pixel for a couple weeks now and so far it has been an awesome phone. It's comfortable to hold, the screen is edge to edge and is amazing, and the camera takes such good pictures I'd think they were taken with a professional camera. I used to have a Samsung j7 and the upgrade to this phone is just huge, for a really affordable price.

Camera sucks

The phone seems to be a great investment until you take a selfie, it's so grainy and the picture is so blurry. I was so disappointed. That's one of the reasons I wanted an upgrade is for the better camera. But now I have a phone who is worse than my previous one which was a 3a,
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
