Nothing But a Headache

I've had the Pixel 4a 5g phone less than 2 weeks and so far it's been nothing but a headache. It took the phone tech at Xfinity 30 minutes just to figure out how to change the notification sounds coming in from different sources, such as Messages, Email, etc etc. Google does have a way to change them but it's not simple to accomplish. The 2nd problem is the update it did. Even though it said the update was complete and restarted the phone I would go back to the update section and it continually showed it had been paused and needed to resume so after the 4th time of repeating these steps it finally showed the update was complete. I've set my ring tones AGAIN so now I need to see if it will keep them. Unfortunately I only have one more day on my 14 day trial to decide if I want to keep the phone. I'm hoping if it's gonna mess up again it will within the next 24 hrs otherwise I'm stuck with it. Even though this phone is highly rated and I really do I like it this one has been a dud.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Phone is too big, and the icons all look the same. I wish the fingerprint ID was in the front.Otherwise it's a perfectly functional phone with easy swipe commands.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Everything works well, especially for a budget phone. The software is simple yet elegant. I do miss waterproofing and wireless charging.

Overall the Pixel is very nice phone. For the price and for the hardware it comes with very good value. Operating system is clean and smooth. Happy to see it doesn’t come with unneeded apps. I like the app layouts and how you are able to modify if you decide to change it up a little. I don’t need the 90 or 120 hertz refresh rate for now. I find the phone is fast enough for my needs. The battery, I must admit is pretty good. I noticed that it did adapt to my usage within a day or two. In the beginning I started to question if I had made the right choice. As the battery would die out but as I mentioned it did improve. Here at the end of the day. I go between an iPhone 12 Pro Max and the Pixel 4a 5G. The bottom line I find myself liking the pixel ever so slightly. Makes me think I should’ve gotten the pixel 5. If anything the only reason I love my Iphone is because of the ecosystem. And the fact you could keeping getting updates past 4 years. Overall Not bad Google not bad.

Same operating system as my LG so the learning curve was fast. Takes awesome pictures and move quickly around the internet.

This phone is very responsive. I like the features. I can't think of anything negative to say about it. It is basic maybe but that's the way I like it. I like having the latest Android updates and no garbage apps to bother me.

Pixel 4a 5g meets all my expectations, good size and ample battery life. Intuitive and easy to use. Only con is no fast charging option.Easy to change from another phone. I am satisfied with this purchase.
