I upgraded from Pixel 2 to Pixel 4a with 5G. The Pixel 2 worked great, but software upgrades stopped. No complaints so far with my new phone. The transfer of apps and data from my old phone to my new phone worked great and so convenient to get up and running right away.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Dropped phone once, now have thin, hairline crack in lower half of screen.Smaller, thinner, lighter than 3a.Displays are different. I'm older, so adjustments aren't easy.Screen almost always goes to black when I start a phone call making things inconvenient.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great phone. But keeps freezing. Have already been issued a second on and it's still freezes like 2-3 times a week. Super annoying to buy a brand new phone and have problems like this. Other than that works well.

Overall a passable phone

Everything on this phone works as you would expect. The only issues are a seemingly certain inaccuracy when selecting specific points on the screen. It happens in every app that requires it. In addition nothing really stands out as a "WOW, that's awesome!" feature. All in all a solid phone.
I would recommend this to a friend!
